Remember The Good Old Days

This is mom and Kerri showing that you can cook on a wood stove.

This is the article in the newspaper from September 14, 1985 if you click on the picture you can read it. I find it funny that even then people thought it odd to live that way. That was 24 years ago and my mom and dad still live in much the same way. About the only thing different is that they do have Dish TV and two inside dogs but still no AC or central heat. I wouldn't change the way I grow up for anything you always had something to do and more than enough friends. I think that's why even today next to my husband my sister's are my best friends. I love that my mom and dad are always great examples of how to work hard and have unconditional love. They are why I am who I am today.

FIRST BABIES OF THE YEAR

The first babies arrived this morning at a little before 5am. Twins 1 nanny and 1 billy they are tiny but by this evening they are getting around good and full as ticks. This is my favorite time of year. We have 13 nannies in all to have babies about half will have them in the next few weeks and then the rest will be in May.

Sydney played basketball this fall at our youth center and her team was undefeated. She really likes to play and she has been really lucky to be on teams that focus on fun and team work first and winning second.

Happy Birthday JACOB

We had a little party for Jacob on Sunday at Grandma Lena's. Now that he is 19 hopefully in a few months he will be off on his mission I know that it will be a great chance of a life time. He is a great son, brother, uncle, and friend and I know that he will go far in everything he does.
